Margaret Wren de St. Aubin first tapped into her leadership ability as a Mary Baldwin student during the late 1970s; now two Virginia Women's Institute for Leadership cadets benefit from her generosity as recipients of a scholarship established by the Board of Trustees member. The scholarship is one of dozens that bring MBC closer to meeting its historic fundraising goal through Ever Ahead, the college's largest campaign to date.

One of the most anticipated events during Reunion Weekend is the annual awards presentation. Alumnae/i from all classes gathered to congratulate eight award recipients.
 
  Susan Palmer > Devoted Alumna Establishes Business Scholarship
The Dr. Susan Nolan Palmer Scholarship Fund for Women in Business will be awarded to one student within the Residential College for Women who has financial need, maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and declares a major in business.
 
  Campus beauty shot > Fresh Ideas Drive Student Leadership
Many of the women elected to Student Government Association for 2013–14 are already rising stars within the Mary Baldwin College community. Find out what inspires them to leadership.
 
  Science > Pearce Hosts Microbiology Conference
Pearce Science Center was the site of the April American Society for Microbiology Regional Conference, which garnered the largest attendance in the history of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter Meeting. Several Mary Baldwin students, professors, and alumnae presented research, and Adult Degree Program student Nicky Rose earned a top award.
