Monthly News Highlights   > Occupational Therapy Program Earns Candidacy for Accreditation Just a week after the physical therapy program at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences reached another important accreditation benchmark, the college’s Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program has also earned candidacy status.   Ever Global From leading diverse service projects to studying abroad, the Samuel and Ava Spencer Center for Civic and Global Engagement offers students abundant opportunities for personal growth, discovery, and skill development, outfitting them with the tools to make a difference in our communities. In the News Learning and Economics — Virginia Business Place in History: MBC recreation room — The News Leader Returning the favor — The News Virginian   > MBC Physical Therapy Program Meets Key Benchmark The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences reached a crucial benchmark in pursuit of full accreditation by the internationally recognized Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, allowing students to be accepted into Mary Baldwin’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.     > VWIL to March in Governor’s Inaugural Parade The Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership Corps of Cadets has been selected to march in Governor-elect Terry McAuliffe’s inaugural parade on January 11, 2014.     > In Memory: Dave Koontz, MBC Systems Analyst Dave Koontz never really stopped working to ensure the online security of Mary Baldwin College. His wife, Ann, recalled him monitoring system updates and fielding inquiries while the couple was watching a movie at home or during their annual vacation to Virginia Beach.
