Mary Baldwin University is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Tennis Coach (part-time). The initial role will begin February 1, 2019 and end May 31, 2019, with the opportunity to renew for the following academic year. Under the supervision of the Head Tennis Coach, this individual will assist with coaching duties for the Mary Baldwin NCAA Division III men’s and women’s tennis programs in order to build and maintain a competitive, quality program that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the university at all times. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with individual and team practices for both the men’s and women’s programs; coaching at competitions for both teams; assisting with recruiting efforts (including successfully passing the NCAA exam); assisting with various operational and administrative aspects of the tennis program; abiding by all NCAA, USA South Conference, and university rules and regulations.
Qualifications: Two to three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. The ideal candidate will have experience playing or coaching tennis, preferably at the college level. Applications are expected to have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal record check, including a driving record.
