Mary Baldwin University is seeking energetic, self-motivated, applicants to fulfill new Campus Safety Officer positions as we expand our coverage for our main campus in Staunton and our branch campus in Fishersville. Available positions are two full-time with benefits, and one for part-time. Campus Safety Officers are responsible for the safety and security of people and property within the confines of the University. Primary responsibilities include patrolling the grounds and buildings, responding to emergency situations, enforcement of parking regulations, monitoring key building equipment, and providing walking escorts upon request.
Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or higher education is preferred but not required. On the job training is provided. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and moderate computer skills. Successful applicants should expect extensive walking, and the opportunity to work overtime. Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, and a clean driving record.
