Full Time: 10-month position with benefits

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Student Counseling, the Campus Counselor will be responsible for providing short-term individual and crisis counseling for Mary Baldwin students.

Job Function:

  • Provide risk assessment, therapy/support groups and outreach programming to a diverse and multicultural student population.
  • Collaborate with the Division of Student Engagement in providing consultation related to student crises.
  • Serve as a case manager on the Student Support Team
  • Serve as a point person in any other matters related to the mental health and well-being of individuals, groups, and the campus community as a whole.


Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or related field and Virginia licensure is required.  Five years clinical experience post-license is preferred. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse groups.

Salary commensurate with experience.
