Mary Baldwin University is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Admissions.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Admissions works under the general directive of the Director of Admissions and will manage his/her recruitment territory for Mary Baldwin University. The Assistant Director of Admissions will be responsible for the successful recruitment and enrollment of prospective students and the cultivation of relationships of key constituents to cultivate new and maintain key partnerships. The Assistant Director of Admissions will also be responsible for general office duties as assigned.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and implement an outreach plan for assigned populations to include the community colleges, hospital administrators, military, adult learners, members of the Staunton and regional community, and other networking/outreach opportunities
  • Territory communication management including emails, phone calls, text messages, birthday cards, personal notes
  • Collect and review application materials for the University
  • Attendance at college fairs and other recruitment events
  • Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with various constituents
  • Preparation and attendance for both on-campus and off-campus recruiting events
  • Maintain appropriate tracking of outreach in the admissions database
  • Collaborate with other offices on campus to ensure successful transition of enrolled students
  • Other duties as assigned

  

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Some weekend and evening hours will be required as is a valid Virginia driver’s license since travel is a part of this position. Experience with Salesforce software is desirable.
