Job Summary:

Mary Baldwin University is seeking a friendly, personable, articulate and organized Welcome Center Coordinator to join the Admissions team. This is a full time staff position with benefits, with normal hours being 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday.

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, Residential Programs, the Welcome Center Coordinator plays a critical role in recruitment as he or she is the public face and voice of the University, greeting visitors to campus, answering the phone for the University, transferring calls, and responding to emails from prospective visitors, faculty, and staff. The WCC is responsible for the coordination, organization, and execution of campus visits, working to help each visitor have a positive visit experience.

Other Duties:

  • Processes transcripts and other mail
  • Prints copies of campus maps and other materials
  • Enters data in Salesforce, MBU’s customer recruitment management software
  • Orders and restocks office supplies
  • Enters meetings and events on the Google calendar and makes room reservations
  • Assists the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions with scheduling meetings and with special projects
  • Maintains confidentiality of all personal information
  • Works weekends occasionally
  • General office duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Well-groomed and professional appearance
  • Attentive, positive, caring and outgoing nature
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; Jenzabar software experience is desired
