Liberal Arts and Educational Studies


Our interdisciplinary major for students interested in elementary or special education clarifies the courses needed to meet Mary Baldwin’s general education requirements and those needed to earn Virginia teacher licensure.



Recommended for students pursuing teacher licensure who are not majoring in Liberal Arts and Educational Studies. Minors are also available in art education and special education.
