Job Duties:

• Post content/copy generated by the Director into the Well by Choice website (MBU uses WordPress)
• In collaboration with the Director, produce content-graphic designs for brochures, print and online advertisements, posters, digital displays, flyers, and other publications using Adobe Creative Suite Programs such as Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator; MS PowerPoint and Publisher
• Create and format monthly Mailchimp newsletter for dissemination
• Ensure all design requests are well developed and completed by the deadline
• Work with the Director to produce unique, innovative designs
• Work well with others and be flexible in design strategies
• Maintain a consistent message throughout the development and design process
• Ensure that all designs are properly aligned with MBU branding and marketing standards
• Other duties as assigned

Expectations:

• Must commit to 8-10 hours per week
• Proficiency with WordPress and various free graphic design technologies (Canva, Gimp, Adobe Photoshop)
• Work in a team-based collaborative setting
• Willingness to take initiative and work independently. Agency is valued and initiative is very important.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications:

• Excellent written communication skills (Please submit a writing sample with application resume)
• Strong attention to detail in tasks
• Ability to perform tasks without constant supervision
• Ability to take direction

Skills you will develop: This position will help the individual gain experience and skills in project management, professional development (i.e. creating a professional portfolio), and professional communication skills.

Hours: 8-10 hours per week, between the hours of 9am-5pm. Attendance at the Nutrition & Wellness Office (SAC102) and hours outside of office hours may also be required but can be flexed with schedule.
