RN to BSN Admissions
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences admits new RN to BSN students three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Each cohort is anticipated to be up to 30 students.

Applicants are encouraged to apply early.
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required prior to enrolling in nursing coursework.
- Official transcripts reflecting a cumulative GPA on all college work attempted of 2.5 or better on a 4-point scale. All transferring coursework must reflect a “C” or better.
- Current unrestricted RN license (students may begin general studies while waiting to take the licensing examination).
- Employment as a RN for a minimum of 6 months OR plans to practice concurrently with coursework.
- Ability to meet the Nursing Department’s Technical Standards for nursing practice.
□ College transcripts: An Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution is required prior to enrolling in nursing coursework. All transferring coursework must reflect a “C” or better. Your official transcripts from your degree-granting institution(s) must be sent to Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. If you are still taking nursing courses during the application cycle, please note that you will not be able to enroll into the RN to BSN coursework until your official transcript has been received verifying completion of these courses, that you have received a “C” or better, and that you still meet the minimum GPA required. □ Application: Applications are available online. Please complete the application based on your anticipated start date. When completing the application, please indicate that you are interested in Undergraduate, then select Transfer as type of student.
If your anticipated start date changes during the application process, just let us know. A new application is not needed.
□ Registration Fee: You will need to submit a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 once you are accepted into the program.
□ Licensure: You will need to submit a copy of your current, unrestricted RN license prior to enrollment into any of the RN to BSN coursework. You may begin general studies while waiting to take the licensing examination.

State and federal laws require colleges and universities to be authorized to offer online degree programs in states other than their own. Mary Baldwin University (Mary Baldwin) is authorized to offer the online RN to BSN degree program to students residing in the following states.
