Established in 1985, our Charlottesville center is conveniently located at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in the MBU Annex. A wide variety of courses is available on-site and online, and new sections can be added based on interest and need. Our Guaranteed Admissions Agreement is available for any PVCC student with an eligible associate’s degree.

Abby ArnoldAbby Arnold 
Academic Advisor
Dr. Arnold has been with MBU since 2011.  She has taught Writing, Women’s Studies, and 19th Century British Literature at The University of Virginia, The University of North Carolina Greensboro, The Princeton Adult School, University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University. She has also taught ESL business writing and conversational skills through the SYNTAGMA Language School in Frankfurt, Germany.


Barber_TiffanyTiffany Barber
Associate Professor of Education
Dr. Barber joined the Mary Baldwin faculty in 2005. In addition to advising students, she is an active member of the Education Department, teaching classes in Foundations of Education, Elementary Education Methods, and the Practicum in Education. She also supervises student teachers in the Charlottesville/Albemarle region.


Teri BeasleyTeri Beasley
Academic Advisor, Regional Center Director
Teri Beasley, MEd  is an academic advisor in the Baldwin Online and Adult Programs.  She previously worked at Virginia Military Institute, the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Lindsey Wilson College.


Irving DriscollIrving Driscoll
Associate Professor of Education, College of Education
Dr. Driscoll teaches and is a faculty advisor in the College of Education.  He also supervises student teachers. He is a retired K-12 administrator. Dr. Driscoll started working with Mary Baldwin student teachers in 2003 and became a full time faculty member in 2005.


   Diane John
Admissions and Advising Coordinator
Diane John joined the Mary Baldwin Charlottesville Regional Center as ROC in 2008. She provides much needed assistance to both students and faculty. Diane is a 1983 graduate of Mary Baldwin University.

Faculty members from the Staunton campus travel to Charlottesville to teach classes, and the College also relies on a number of adjuncts from Charlottesville and other regions.
