The Math Lab is an integral part of the Academic Resource Center and is located, along with our other programs, in the Center for Student Success on the first floor of the Grafton Library at Mary Baldwin University’s Staunton campus.
Math tutors are faculty-recommended students who excel in the subject and who enjoy helping their peers in a friendly, judgement-free environment.
Using resources provided by the Center for Student Success and in collaboration with the Q Center, Math Lab tutors can assist you with all math courses offered at Mary Baldwin University, including College Algebra, Precalculus with Trigonometry, and Analytic Geometry.
Tutoring sessions typically last 30-60 minutes, and appointments can be made online by clicking the “Schedule Appointment” link above. Once you are in the system, quickly create an account if you haven’t done so, then consult the master schedule for specific tutors and their availability. Brief bios on our tutors below that include their particular strengths and interests may help you make your selection.
Walk-ins are also welcome.
