MBU History Degree Ranks 19th in Affordability

Mary Baldwin University’s history department recently ranked 19th on AffordableColleges.com in the category of affordable online history degrees in 2017.

Affordable Colleges rank schools across the nation in affordability in an effort to aid students in choosing a smart economical institution to attend.

Classes for history majors at MBU are offered both fully online and in the classroom. MBU also helps students’ fast-track their path to a history degree with the opportunity to transfer up to 18 credits (six courses) from the Virginia Community Colleges System.

Both Baldwin Online and Adult students and undergraduate residential college students write a senior thesis for the major, and the department offers numerous unique internship opportunities including placements at Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library, the Museum of American Frontier Culture, and the Stonewall Jackson House.

History majors are also given the opportunity to experience the Virginia Program at Oxford. For six weeks, six different colleges and universities invite their students to thrive, live, and learn together in the exciting, historic town of Oxford, England.
