Video Games – Liesel Lutz

The fall has begun! Cold weather, fluffy sweaters, falling leaves, all the things I admire while standing outside, a hot chocolate in hand, before I say “Crap it’s cold” and go inside to play videogames. So here is my listing of the video games I am playing right now and why I think you should buy them for some much needed indoors entertainment:

  1. Stardew Valley

I just finished this game and it was awesome! The storyline is complicated enough to be interesting, but not so difficult that you can’t finish it. You get the option of marrying one of the adorably romantic townspeople, and you get to farm! I mean, come on, who doesn’t love virtual farming? Plus, the soundtrack is so relaxing. It sweeps you right into the videogame! I rate this game 10/10

  1. Assassin’s Creed Origins

This game has one of the most intricate storylines I have ever played in my entire life! Bayek is an honorable, yet realistically flawed, main character who you can’t help but root for. The weapons and fighting style is much improved compared to previous Assassin’s Creed games. The open map concept is awe-inspiring as you learn and memorize the layout of Ancient Egyptian land. Once again, the soundtrack is killer! Also, you get to play as Bayek’s kick-butt wife Aya as she protects the queen, Cleopatra, and other kick-butt women warriors so who doesn’t love that? I rate this game 10/10

  1. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

All of my friends know to not even get me started on this game because the discussion will last hours. I. Love. This. Game. I know, I know, it has a lot of flaws, but I love the characters, the storyline, (the controls could be better, but much better than previous Uncharted games), and getting to hear this lovely created adventure story where pirates and hidden cities still exist. So, if you will excuse me I will flying away in Scully’s helicopter to discover El Dorado. I rate this game 1500/10

  1. Overwatch

I’ve been playing this game since it was beta. I think it still holds up! It’s an online multiplayer game. They continue to add new maps and characters. I love the little shorts on Youtube and think the controls are still pretty great.  Although, I will say I never use a headset so I have nothing to say for the chats. I rate this game 9/10.

  1. Tomb Raider (the first one)

I want to love this game. I really, really do, but this game scares the crap out of me. I played this game for 3 hours and I don’t think I took one breath, it moves so fast! I was in a shipwreck and then kidnapped within the first 5 minutes of the game and let me tell you it didn’t stop from there! I keep thinking it will slow down and it never seems to so it is not a chill day game. I rate this game 6/10 purely because it scares me. Still a great game, but for me, it scares me.

Well, this has been my current videogames I’ve been playing this fall. I wish you all a fantastic fall full of falling leaves and fictionations of the future.
