Cheesy Potatoes Recipe – Ingredients

1-32 oz bag of frozen hash browns – southern style

1-10 oz can cream of chicken soup

1 pint of sour cream

2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup of chopped onions

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of black pepper

3/4 cup of melted butter which is 1 ½ stick of butter

1 box of corn flakes (unsweetened)

Cooking Tools

32 oz. (1 Quart) glass measuring cup

Spatula/Spoon

13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish

Coffee cup

1 sandwich-size plastic bag

1 rolling pin (Optional)

1 cup measure

Instructions

First, melt 1 stick of butter in a coffee cup using a microwave. As a helpful tip, cut the butter into cubes before you melt it because then it melts much faster. Mix together, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheese, onions, salt, pepper, and 1 stick of melted butter. Stir until combined. Then, add the frozen hash browns and stir. Next, spread the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Then, fill a sandwich size plastic bag with corn flakes and either crunch with your hand or use a rolling pin. Next, measure out 2 cups of crushed corn flakes. Combine your melted butter and corn flakes, make sure to get butter on all of the corn flakes or they could burn in the oven. Spread the buttered cornflakes evenly over the top of the mixture. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
