Sorry If I Scared You
This poem is for
the boy I followed home.
The only other person
mad enough to walk alone
in the rain.
I didn’t mean to follow you,
but
how was I to know
that when you
cut through busy streets
and backyards,
as I stayed on the main path,
that we were going to
the same place?
