As an artist, I am interested in self-representation.  The color represents the soul and self-expression. The baby is presented in parts to represent the complexity and potentiality of someone when they are born and with a whole life ahead of them. The fractured and outlined style stresses the importance of color in creating feeling.  The shapes represent different facets of a baby’s personality and growth. The circles are for well-roundedness. The diagonals are representative of progress in a baby’s life.   The grid is for structure needed by the baby as she grows.  The triangles are for problems that may occur, because they look jarring.
