Yucca’s are coevolved with the Yucca moths which have become it’s only pollinators.⁹ Indians of the Southwest used both the flower and fruit for food.³⁰ Planted around forts as a defensive barrier earning the name Spanish Bayonet.

Description

Rosettes of stiff sharp leaves, greenish white bulbous bell-like flowers on a tall stalk from the center of the rosette.⁹
