Cherry Blossoms

I tried going against what my soul said,

I tried going against my intuition,

In the end,

I ended up somewhere I wasn’t meant to be,

It haunted me all throughout the never ending night,

The sky became so dark, I saw myself and reached out for her-

As I got closer, I saw stars written all over her face,

She whispered to me,

“You never know when or where”

In that moment,

I instantaneously saw a light that filled every inch of my soul

I felt courage coarse through my heart

I grabbed her-

A handful of memories flashed right before my eyes

I knew I had to let go

I moved beyond past the memories

And found,

You.
