Shimmering Seas

crystals from the water shimmered

as I stepped forward

to Poseidon’s humbled home.

 I could smell the salt

from the dancing waves.

The sand turned dark after each tide

pushed towards the land.

I imagined myself swimming

with the sea turtles and the dolphins.

My toes sunk into the sand.

As I closed my eyes,

I can still see the bright sky

kissing the ocean’s campus.

I frolicked around the bouncy flow.

The beach turned me into a goddess.

Would it be nice to go back

to where it was just me

and the glistening sea?
