It’s Our Time

There are no words to properly describe,

The fallacy upon which they built our lives.

We felt ready, and happy, despite

The insidious blueprint bestowed

By the ones that came before.

Little did we know that our pathway was constructed

By begrimed hands that molded

Systematic catastrophes and sordid regimes.

In turn, we burned our fingertips, and drowned our brains

Previously carved with seemingly brilliant schemes.

The preposterous empty promises and proposals

Which urge our fatigued generation to become indiscernible

Machinery, whether we are puppets in classrooms or offices,

Reflects their incessant greed

Which manipulates our manufactured dreams.

Piece by piece, the scattered memories of our peace,

Shards of our disrupted childhood, deep in a chaotic abyss.

Deep, did they even care or at least perceive?

The truth rumbled with no warning.

Prodigious, we surged from our refuge,

Viciously tearing apart any attempt of a deceitful rescue.

As we adventured in our isolating journey,

Upon encountering the lurking deceivers, we confronted

By resurfacing from a rising sea of obliviousness,

Carrying a beacon of truthful light, illuminating a new path,

Triggering a metamorphosis of our own dreams and might.

It’s our time.

It’s our time.
