Job Duties:

The International Student Support Coordinator contributes to the academic and personal success of international students studying on the MBU campus. Working with Spencer Center professional staff, the Coordinator assists with planning international student orientation, social and cultural events, and transportation, while also being available to respond to individual student questions and needs.  Reports directly to the International Student Advisor in the Spencer Center.

  • Assist the International Student Advisor with planning activities for international students;
  • Work on behalf of international students to address their needs and concerns;
  • Facilitate connections between international students and campus groups and offices;
  • Looks for ways to better support and integrate international students on campus;
  • Attend (if possible) International Student Orientation;
  • Assist with updates to International Student Handbook;
  • Attend and assist the international student end-of-semester evaluation session;
  • Staff the front desk, greet visitors and provide needed information;
  • Ensure the Spencer Center space is tidy and well-organized, especially the front desk;
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.
