The Black Screen, Blank On/Off or Video Mute button temporarily interrupts projection (if a projection would be distracting to the class) without shutting down the projector. Please use this feature for a maximum of ten minutes. If you need to interrupt projection for a longer period of time, please turn the projector off and back on.

Please turn the projector off when you leave the classroom. The projector is not set to time out and turn itself off (we don’t want the projector to shut down in the middle of class).

If you are having trouble:

–If you don’t see the picture you want to see, wait for the buttons to stop flashing and press another input and then the the correct input on the Extron control panel.

–if the screen is black but the projector and the source are on, press the Blank Screen button on the Extron control panel to turn off the picture mute.

–If you don’t hear anything but you are playing audio from the PC or laptop, check the computer’s volume setting by clicking on the small speaker icon in the lower right corner and raising the volume control. Check the volume control on the Extron control plate, to make sure it is turned up.

–If there are messages from the projector like Please Clean Filter, please let the IT Help Desk know by entering a Service Desk Ticket or support@marybaldwin.edu.
