Mary Baldwin University Dining Services is looking for a motivated full-time University Café Manager to organize and run daily operations in a fast paced environment, and to motivate our café staff to provide excellent food and customer service to the University community.
Café Manager responsibilities include training, scheduling, and supervising University Café Associates/Baristas/Cooks and student workers, monitoring daily expenses and revenues, and ordering supplies. Applicants should be customer service oriented and have the ability to lead a team. To be successful with this job you should have work experience with various roles, including supervision, in a small café or coffee shop. Knowledge of Servsafe and sanitation requirements a must. Must be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and ServSafe Manager certification. 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred from a café or coffee shop, deli, or a casual restaurant.
